Earlier this week, it was reported that Akshay will join music maestro AR Rahman, R Madhavan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Nayanthara, Tamannaah Bhatia, Shekhar Kapur, CBFC Chief Prasoon Joshi, Ricky Kej and more on the Cannes 2022 red carpet.
Akshay had tested positive for Covid-19 in April 2021. “I would like to inform everyone that I tested positive for Covid-19 earlier this morning. After all the protocols, I have immediately isolated myself. I am in home quarantine and have sought the necessary medical care. “I sincerely ask everyone who has come in contact with me to test themselves and take care of themselves. Back in action very soon,” he had said.
He then revealed that he had also been hospitalized. “Thank you all for all your warm wishes and prayers, they seem to work, I feel good, but as a precaution during medical advice I have been hospitalized. I hope to be home again soon. Take care of you,” he said then.
Akshay was about to dive into the marketing of Prithiviraj. Based on the life and bravery of the fearless and powerful Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan, the actor will be seen portraying the titular character who bravely fought against the ruthless intruder Muhammad of Ghor. Prithviraj also marks the debut of former Miss World Manushi Chhillar who plays the role of King Prithviraj’s beloved Sanyogita. The film will be released on June 3 in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
