Content and esports brand, Penta Esports aims to lead and develop grassroots esports by offering opportunities to future e-sports athletes. The brand’s first initiative against this, the Penta Amateur League, exclusively for amateur and semi-professional players, recorded a successful first season that gathered more than 7.6 lakh viewers, with a total viewing time of more than 34 lakh minutes. With a goal to go further than subways, to cities in levels 2 and 3, the platform will enable amateurs to create a career as an e-sports athlete.
Penta Amateur Leagues season 1 was launched in October 2021 and ended in March 2022 with a total of 30,000,000 INR distributed in prize pools. It featured several sports titles on mobile, PC and consoles each month which were World Cricket Championship 3, Gran Turismo Sport, Valorant, Battlegrounds Mobile India, Free Fire, Pokemon Unite, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Tekken 7, Clash Royale and Brawl Stars.
The league had 76 match days and a 24-day broadcast, including the “Penta Talk Show” that preceded each month’s broadcast. The matches from the league were broadcast on several platforms including Facebook, YouTube, Loco and Booyah, and culminated in more than 116 hours of total broadcasting with a top simultaneous viewing figure of 6,853. Posts on social media about the league on social media platforms Instagram, Facebook and Twitter had a cumulative commitment of 24%.

Each month’s finals were preceded by musical performances by Indian artists such as Gamini Khurana, Sushant Satija, Ashter X, Saahil Bhargava, Anindita Dey, Muktak Kanjilal and LiveIn Blues.
The entire registration and scheduling of the league was performed on Penta Esports platform, Pentaesports.com.
