David Duchovny to write, direct and star in adaptation of his novel, Bucky F*cking Dent

David Duchovny will write, direct and record Bucky F * cking Dentwhich is based on his book of the same name, a novel that topped the bestseller list.

Bucky F * cking Dent takes place in New York in 1978 and follows an unplanned thirty-something named Ted, who moves back to his father Marty (David Duchovny) after finding out about his deadly disease.

The film is described as “an ode to the bond between father and son” and a true underdog story.

Bucky F * cking Dent will go on the floor later this year and will be produced by Jordan Yale Levine and Jordan Beckerman of Yale Productions.

David Duchovny was last seen in the comedy Judd Apatow, The bubbleand appeared on Stolen, who both debuted on Netflix. He will also star in the upcoming Kenya Barris comedy, You people, again for Netflix. He will also act alongside Meg Ryan in What happens later.
