Hands-on: Samsung Bespoke Jet vacuum cleaner with all-in-one Clean Station
Note: This feature was first published on January 11, 2022 and is now updated with a video review.
It’s been a while but you can now get more of Samsung’s Bespoke Home devices here in Singapore. Joining the fridge, which was launched in September last year, is new Tailored Jet hand-held vacuum cleaner.
Bespoke Jet was announced last year as part of Samsung’s major Bespoke Home launch, which aims to offer advanced household appliances with a focus on usability and design to a more exclusive clientele. It is also Samsung’s flagship for handheld vacuum cleaners and therefore it comes with looks and features that match.
To begin with, it looks like an expensive vacuum cleaner. Available in Woody Green and Misty White, Bespoke Jet just looks like part of a luxury household appliance. In the hands it feels stably assembled and there is a practical digital display that shows suction power, running time and even warning messages if something should get stuck in the brush head.
One of the biggest pain points for vacuum cleaners is the need to empty their trash cans when they get full. To get around this, Bespoke Jet has what Samsung calls one All-in-one Clean Station. Basically, it is a stand that not only charges the vacuum cleaner but also empties its dustbin, which saves owners the hassle of getting their hands dirty and doing it themselves.
Using the Air Pulse technology, it removes dust and debris in the vacuum cleaner’s vessels and captures up to 99.999% of dust and fine particles in an antibacterial bag which can be easily removed when full. I would say that this is probably the biggest reason why anyone would want to get a Bespoke Jet.
Apart from the charging and self-emptying station, the Bespoke Jet is also powerful. Although relatively compact and lightweight, Samsung claims up to 210W suction power. The vacuum cleaner itself also has several filters that Samsung says will remove 99.999% of dust and fine particles.
Unlike most vacuum cleaners in its class, the Bespoke Jet uses removable batteries. Alleged battery life is up to 60 minutes when using it on normal suction power.
There are two benefits to having removable batteries. For owners with large homes, replacing batteries will allow them to continue cleaning without having to wait for a long charge. Secondly, we were told that a common problem that such vacuum cleaners face is that the batteries do not work. Removable batteries therefore make it possible for owners to get most of their devices out without having to take a trip down to the service center to have them inspected and repaired.
Bespoke Jet comes with different cleaning heads for different cleaning needs. Here are all the accessories you will find in the box:
- Soft brush
- Jet double brushes
- Pet tools
- Combination tool
- Extension column tool
- Flexible tool
- Accessory cradle
There is also a separate head that can be used for mopping. However, it is sold separately.
It is difficult to say how efficient the Bespoke Jet is due to the limitations of the practical area. However, the self-emptying container seems to work a charm and the whole system looks polished and refined. It is obvious that it is a device designed for well-to-do customers who want a very functional but still stylish vacuum cleaner that does not look out of place in their designed home.
Since we first published this article, my editor has had Bespoke Jet for a while now and he has a pretty definite reason for who and why should get Samsung’s flagship cordless vacuum cleaners: –
