IIT Delhi collaborates with CISCE to design school curriculum

IIT Delhi has partnered with CISCE to design a curriculum for schools affiliated to the board that includes robotics, artificial intelligence, AI, machine learning, ML and computer science.

Indian Institute of Technology, IIT Delhi has partnered with the Council for Indian School Certificate Examinations, CISCE to design curricula for schools affiliated with the board of upcoming technologies including robotics, artificial intelligence, AI, machine learning, ML and computer science.

The I-Hub Foundation for Cobotics, Technology Innovation Hub at IIT Delhi will compile the CISCE curriculum to strengthen 21st century skills and implement certain aspects of New Education Policy for students in its affiliated schools. The IHFC has also offered to renew the current STEM courses in line with the new training policy.

Speaking at the event, Mr Ashutosh Dutt Sharma, CEO, IHFC, said the foundation can also play a key role in doing the same in more than 2,700 schools affiliated with CISCE and provide guidance to them in implementing the same.

CE&S, CISCE, Gerry Arathoon said that CISCE plans to introduce the subjects Robotics and Artificial Intelligence at the levels ICSE (Class 9, 10) and ISC (Class 11, 12). He further added that he is pleased that the curriculum is being created and developed by IIT Delhi as their expertise and guidance is much appreciated by CISCE.
