IPL2022: KKR’s Tim Southee Takes Stunning Catch to Send Back Kagiso Rabada

Tim Southee created a moment of magic on the field to send back a looting Kagiso Rabada as the Kolkata Knight Riders dominated the Punjab Kings with the ball in their Indian Premier League match at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Friday.

The incident occurred on the first ball of the 19th over, which turned out to be the penultimate ball of the round. Andre Russell came on bowling for the first time in the match and lost a slow delivery that angled into Rabada.

The South African tried to hit the ball back over the ball but ended up in the shadows. Ajinkya Rahane ran in from long-off but it was Southee who got there first from long-on and held the ball with both hands and that too in full stretch.

Southee played with the ball and in the field when New Zealand’s fast took two wickets and hit three important catches.

In the process, Southee also passed the 250th wicket mark in T20 cricket and became the first New Zealand bowler to achieve the feat.

Southee’s opening ball partner Umesh Yadav took four wickets when the Kolkata Knight Riders knocked out the Punjab Kings for 137 runs.
