‘Jayeshbhai Jordaar’ box office collection day 1: Ranveer Singh records a dull opening with just Rs 3 crore – Times of India

Despite a star like Ranveer Singh running the film, “Jayeshbhai Jordaar” has failed to record a massive opening. This film has earned a place among this year’s low scorers such as Shahid Kapoor’s “Jersey” who earned 3.19 crore on day one and Ajay Devgn’s “Runway 34” who collected 3.08 crore on the opening day.

On Saturday, ‘Jayeshbhai Jordaar’ is expected to show a positive trend and if it does, the collection should lift up on weekdays as well. “Jayeshbhai Jordaar” is directed by Divyang Thakkar and is a comedy drama that sheds light on issues such as gender stereotyping and female fetal murder. Speaking about his journey in films, Ranveer had recently told BT: “I have always wanted to be recognized as a versatile actor. The way things have turned out and the versatility that I have been able to show is now widely recognized. “I hope it continues like this. Like Jayeshbhai Jordaar is a character you have not seen me play before and it has been a new challenge for me.”
