London Files teaser: Arjun Rampal plays a detective who finds himself in the middle of a deadly secret as he tries to solve the disappearance of a young girl

The teaser for Arjun Rampal and the Purab Kohli star thriller web series London Files was released last Friday. A one-minute teaser for the show, published on the streaming service Voot Select’s YouTube channel, introduces a boring Arjun as detective Om Singh, who investigates the disappearance of businessman Amar Roy (Purab Kohli). We get a glimpse of Purab beating a woman and suggesting that he may not be who he seems. The trailer then shows that Arjun gets hints of a deeper mystery or secret that hides during the disappearance and we see the motif of a curved snake appear repeatedly.

When a montage shows Arjun investigating the shady case, the text on the screen calls the show a story of lies, secrets and reconciliation. The teaser ends with Arjun – filmed from the back – looking at a map of London.

According to the program’s official synopsis, it follows the murder detective Om Singh as he tackles the case of a missing person in a politically divided city in London. Fighting against their own personal demons is forced to take on the case of the media mogul Amar Roy’s (Purab) missing daughter. Amar is a divisive figure in London due to his support for a draconian bill against immigration. When Om begins to investigate the case, a darker mystery comes to light. One that threatens to reveal buried secrets and Om’s repressed past.

London Files also plays Sapna Pabbi, Medha Rana, Gopal Datt, Sagar Arya and Eva Jane Willis in key roles. Directed by Sachin Pathak and produced by Jar Pictures, the six-episode series premieres on April 21 on Voot Select.
