Regina Cassandra: I was not missing in action, I was constantly working in south films

When she talks about his huge gap between her two Hindi projects, the actress Regina Cassandra, who mainly works in Telugu and Tamil films, says that she was not unemployed.

Her film debut in Hindi was in the film 2019 Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa and Regina Cassandra are back in the Hindu scene with their latest web series Rocket Boys.

When he talks about his huge gap between her two Hindi projects, the actor, who mainly works in Telugu and Tamil films, says that she was not unemployed.

“I was not MIA. I may not have done Hindi projects but I was quite busy with my Telugu and Tamil projects. It’s not like I stayed away for any particular reason. I did not get an exciting job to do anything here. I want to “not just take on projects for that matter. I would like to make a difference in my work,” she says.

The actress says that was the reason she took up Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa although it was a very small role.

“I got a call from Shelly (Chopra Dhar, director). It was only a 10 minute role but I felt the need to do it and be in the room and talk about certain things,” adds Cassandra of the film, which was an LGBT love story and starring Sonam Kapoor Ahuja and Anil Kapoor.

But post now Rocket Boys for which she has received great appreciation, the 31-year-old says that she looks forward to doing more work in the Hind space.

“I think it’s already happening. Before this show, people had to go back and watch the movies I made in the South to know what I’m capable of. People in Bollywood used to wonder if I had an accent when I spoke Hindi. Now “I feel that people are exposed to what I do. I think there is more for people to see and look at and decide,” she explains.
