Singapore reports 3,383 new COVID-19 cases

SINGAPORE, May 14 (Xinhua) – Singapore reported 3,383 new cases of covid-19 on Saturday, bringing the total to 1,240,233.

Of the new cases, 391 cases were detected by PCR tests (polymerase chain reaction) and 2,992 by ART tests (antigen rapid test), according to statistics released by the Ministry of Health.

Among the PCR cases were 369 local shipments and 22 imported cases. Among the ART cases with mild symptoms and which were judged to be of low risk, there were 2,916 local transfers and 76 imported cases, respectively.

A total of 260 cases are currently being cared for in hospitals, of which eight cases are in intensive care units.
