Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands gives players useless prey
When it comes to loot-shooters, it is safe to say that no franchise has ever gone as deep into the rabbit hole as Borderlandsand yes, it does include developers Gearbox softwarelatest spin-off title – Little Tina’s wonderland.
After all, the entire franchise is literally built on the concept of giving players large amounts of prey, whether it is in the form of cash, resources and of course weapons. But no matter how fantastic it sounds, there will be nothing if you can not even use the prey that you have collected.
Case in point, Wonderland players have recently noticed that the game has lost equipment that is literally unusable at the moment due to the level ceiling. More specifically, a Reddit users leaving “afrankiewicz” have reported receiving a legendary submachine gun that requires a level 43 character to use even though the current cover is level 40.
As you may have guessed, there is a 99% chance that this event is just an unidentified bug in the game’s code, given that Borderlands Games usually have raises to the level ceiling after launch. With that in mind, it’s probably not worth dropping your level 43 gear for now, as you’ll probably be able to use it when the next patch rolls around.
As reference, Borderlands 3 started with a level cap of 50 when it was first released in September 2019, but as of the June 2021 update, the cap is remarkably higher at 72. It is not known how far Gearbox intends to push the cap for Wonderland given that the equalization system is slightly different from the usual ones Borderlands games, but we know at least that they did not intentionally give players useless equipment.
But the level cap has certainly not stopped them from directly injecting meme weapons into the game, and the most prominent example right now is the Aphotic Antique Greatbow. It’s a Hyperius Sniper Rifle with great stats, but like all other special text red weapons in these games you should never take it for face value. In the case of Antique Greatbow, it’s probably sold for a huge profit if it’s never been fired, so let’s just say that players who have tried to tempt fate by shooting it have … MUCH less to show for it.
