When Will Smith made fun of a bald man on TV, said ‘these are jokes, come on’. Watch video

Will Smith beating Chris Rock at the Oscars continues to be a hot topic even now. When several celebrities made judgments about whether Will’s verdict was justified or not, an old video where Will makes fun of a bald man has appeared online. More than thirty years ago, Will had made an appearance on a television program and frightened a bassist’s baldness. He passed it off as a “joke” when someone from the audience called him rude.

The video from The Arsenio Hall Show 1991 shows Will with the host. He says to him, “The bassist? He has a rule. He has to wax his head every morning. It’s a rule! He follows the rules, man. He follows the rules.”

The camera then shows a glimpse of the band’s bassist, John B Williams, smiling only in response. A member of the audience is seen calling Will “rude” over his statement but the actor replies: “This is a joke, come on.”

John B Williams also shared his answer on slapgate. He said his baldness was not the same as Jadas’ because he did not suffer from alopecia. John B Williams told RollingStone about how he handled Will and made fun of his baldness, “I did not take it seriously. He was a comedian. He was the healthy prince of Bel-Air. He was a rapper. I took it as a joke. I laughed it off. ”

Will Smith made headlines on Monday when he beat comedian Chris Rock on stage at the Oscars. Chris had made a joke about his wife Jada Pinkett Smith, who is bald because of her condition – alopecia. Chris had said he would like to see her in the sequel to GIJane, who had Demi Moore as a woman. Will immediately went up to the stage and slapped Chris in response to the joke.
